Overclocking Worklog #36: ASUS RX 480 Strix, Custom Water Cooling Loop and RealBench Challenge

This is my log for the OC session I held on the 6th of September 2016. Tonight was more of a “In the lab” session rather than a fully fledged OC session. The point is here to introduce you to some new hardware that I’ve just gotten etc.

Say Hi to the RX480 Strix

Today I’ve got something special to show. It’s the ASUS ROG RX480 8GB Strix Graphics Card that I’ve received (Big thanks!) from ASUS Republic of Gamers.
I’ve did a quick introduction of this to show you guys what this card is all about. Showing also how it runs and some quick tests. I did run in some driver issues with the card so I wasn’t able too much overclocking on it yet. But I will figure that out for the next session. It might very well related to the splitting of the VGA signal for the stream or something like that.

ASUS’s Realbench benchmark and Challenge

Then I did a quick introduction to the Realbench benchmark. Why that? Well there is currently a competition running at OC Esports on that benchmark and I wanted to quickly brief you guys up on the different tests of the benchmark, how to submit a score etc.
If you want to check out the competition, head over here : http://oc-esports.io/#!/round/realb…

What’s next

I will be back in the next few days with some more action on the RX480. This time focussing on actually overclocking the card and seeing what i can do – Looking forward!
